It is known that printing began in Turkey soon after it was invented in Europe. It is also known that minorities during the Ottoman empire founded many printing presses. Ibrahim and Yusuf Efendi founded the first Turkish printing press. The first printing house began its printing path in a real sense in 1727. The first thing that was printed was the Arabic and Turkish lexicon in the name of the wankuli language, and then other literature was printed. The first private press is the accident newspaper Press. In 1833 there were 54 printing presses and in 1948 the number of printing presses became 509 . In 1983 the number of the printing press increased to 3537 and in 1907 the number of the printing press had reached almost 6000. The change brought about by the newly educated intelligentsia, who mostly went abroad for education, in the XVIII-XIX centuries accelerated the life of journalism and broadcasting in the XIX century. Today, Turkish printing continues to develop by closely following the technology and continues to provide high-quality service.
